Genie (feral child)

Genie displaying her characteristic "bunny walk" shortly after she was rescued at the age of 13.

WelcomeEdit

This wiki is about Genie, the feral child who spent the first years of her life strapped to a pottychair and was discovered by the age of 13 in LA, 1970. Genie's father used to hit her whenever she tried to vocalize which led her to not being able to talk and develop a language. After the rescue she was helped by therapists, teachers and other mental health professionals, she had made some progress but in 1974 the Institute cut off funding for research. Today she is confined in a hospital for mentally disabled adults.

NoteEdit
